Hello, I am Dr Jo Phillips, Clinical Psychologist and founder of Nurture Now, a space to help women thrive in the everyday, and I'm so glad you are here.
I help women reconnect with what genuinely matters to them and grow towards it through my one-to-one coaching programme, The Intentional Growth Path. It's grounded in over fifteen years of psychological expertise that holds my clients with care.

On the surface you're doing well. You're the capable one, the one others rely on, and life is full. Yet you sense there's more than this, and the things that matter to you and make you feel more like yourself keep waiting for a later that never quite arrives.
Nurture Now is my answer to this uneasiness. It grew from my work as a psychologist, my own path of growth, and finding more freedom to be myself.
“I believe we have an innate desire for healing, growth and flourishing, and that so much wisdom already lives within us. In the busyness of life we can lose sight of this, which is where a steady helping hand, grounded in psychological understanding, makes all the difference.”

A PLACE TO BEGIN
If one-to-one coaching feels like a bigger step than today is asking for, there's a smaller one here. The Intentional Growth Book: Your Guided Journal to Nourish and Flourish walks you through my Four Steps to Flourish, with gardening-inspired practices that move with the seasons. The Journal helps you reconnect with what matters, plant self-care habits that take root and live with more intention.

At the heart of everything I create at Nurture Now sits Thrive Your Way, my psychology-rooted system that helps create the conditions to thrive your own way. There are three ways into the garden: Nourish, Grow and Flourish. It doesn't matter which one you open first, the right one is the one that meets you where you are, with the kind of support that will serve you best.

Tending to yourself in the everyday. Home to my guided journal and free companion pieces, these are small ways to set intentions, notice what you need and make room for joy.

More support, when you want it. Self-paced courses and in-person workshops are taking root here. Sign up to Notes from Nurture Now for news on when they're ready to bloom.

The fullest support, one to one. Four months of bespoke psychologist-led coaching with me, creating the conditions for change that lasts beyond our work together.
You've tried the books, the podcasts and the journalling prompts, perhaps even pushing yourself to feel the fear and do it anyway.
If something still keeps getting in the way, it doesn't mean you are not trying hard enough. It often means there is something beneath the surface that needs understanding and tending to first.
My coaching programme The Intentional Growth Path is four months of one-to-one psychologist-led coaching with me, an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant. Within an EMDR*-informed framework, I help you connect with your inner strengths and move through what is holding you back.
Weaving in an IFS*-informed approach helps make sense of any fear or protective patterns along the way with compassion and curiosity, inviting reconnection to yourself.
During this personal growth work, you have an experienced psychologist alongside you, and the gap between knowing you are ready and actually getting there starts to close.
*EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. IFS: Internal Family Systems.

“Being present and grounded in the now is where we get the quality of life, the calm and the joy.”
Dr Jo Phillips in Psychologies, October 2025
Welcome, I'm so glad you are here. My name is Jo, and I'm a Clinical Psychologist with over fifteen years of therapeutic experience, an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant and the author of The Intentional Growth Book, my guided journal to nourish and flourish.
I founded Nurture Now to bring the psychology of growth, self-compassion and intentional living out of the therapy room, so more women can reconnect with themselves and with what genuinely brings them joy. For me, that'll be a morning walk through the forest with my dog Zeta. My mother was a gardener, and her love of flowers, gardening and nature runs through everything I do with Nurture Now.

My email newsletter, for anyone who wants to feel more rooted in what matters and values reflection that goes a little deeper. Each note is an invitation to pause, with early access to new offerings and the occasional mini-series along the way. The kind of note to come back to with a cup of tea.
